Designed specifically for motorcycle and bike enthusiasts, Dry Ride uses cutting-edge technology to ensure you have the best riding experience, whether you’re planning a short trip or a long adventure.
Key Features:
. Ride Planning Algorithm: Dry Ride evaluates critical weather factors-including temperature, precipitation, wind speed, frost risk, and visibility-to pinpoint the safest and most
enjoyable ride windows.
. Destination Weather: Search for any city or address and get a second ride-status card alongside your current location, so you can check conditions at both ends of your trip before
you leave.

conditions-ideal for road trips and commutes.
. Smart Notifications: Get tailored notifications to help you decide when to ride.
. Ride Readiness at a Glance: Instantly know if it's safe to ride today or when conditions will improve, thanks to dynamic banners and easy-to-read visual alerts.
. Advanced Frost and Hazard Detection: Stay informed about hidden dangers like frost or black ice, ensuring a safer journey.
. High Temperature Alert: Be prepared for extreme heat before heading out.
. 7-Day Forecast Tailored for Riders: Plan your week with detailed forecasts highlighting the best and worst riding times.
. Customizable Preferences: Set your own thresholds for temperature, precipitation, and more. Optionally limit ride suggestions to daytime hours only.
. Home Screen Widget: Live ride status, current temperature, weather conditions, and frost or overheat alerts-without opening the app.
. Privacy First: Dry Ride uses your location only to check the weather where you are - it never leaves your device. There's no account, your settings stay stored locally on your phone.
. Available in Six Languages: English, Romanian, German, French, Dutch, and Swedish.

Version History Under the hood improvements 1.7.0 38m ago • Live weather warnings (optional): when riding conditions turn unsafe for a while, whether that's rain, wind, low visibility, frost, extreme heat or anything outside your own limits, DryRide can show a live warning on your Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and on your paired Apple Watch. It counts down to when the conditions clear.
• Ride condition alerts (optional): get a heads-up up to an hour before conditions at your location are forecast to get better or worse for riding. Alerts follow your own limits and night-time setting.
• Fresher weather everywhere: the app and widget now share the latest forecast, so reopening the app is quicker and the widget stays up to date, even when you're offline.
• Clearer issue reporting: you can now see exactly what a report includes before you send it. Place names in diagnostic logs are now anonymized.
• Requires iOS 26. 1.6.0 Sep 30 This update focuses on accuracy and polish across the app and widget.
**More accurate ride windows**
- Ride times shown throughout the app now match the widget and are measured more precisely, so a suggested window reflects your full riding time instead of cutting it an hour short.
- "Disable night time" now correctly ends the riding day at 8 PM everywhere in the app, and its description now follows your device's 12- or 24-hour clock setting.
- Fixed a case where the app could suggest riding through a stretch of the day it didn't actually have weather data for.
**Destination weather improvements**
- When you look up another city, the card now shows the current local time there, so ride times are never mistaken for your own.
- Fixed a rare case where checking a destination could briefly show the wrong city's result.
- Fixed frost and overheat warnings not appearing for a destination outside its riding hours.
**Widget improvements**
- The widget now updates itself throughout the day instead of freezing at the moment it was last generated, so temperature, conditions, and warnings stay current.
- A widget that can't refresh now clearly says its forecast is out of date and invites you to open the app, instead of appearing stuck or showing a stale result.
- The small widget no longer cuts off longer city names.
- Frost and overheat warnings on the widget now reflect the current hour instead of ones that already passed.
- The widget now updates promptly when you change your temperature, rain, or unit preferences, or toggle night-time hours.
**Settings redesign**
- The Settings screen has been rebuilt with a cleaner, more native layout. It can no longer be accidentally dragged sideways, and each setting's explanation is now shown directly below it.
**Reliability**
- Notifications no longer get stuck showing "on" after permission is denied.
- Background weather refresh is now more reliable and no longer reports success when it couldn't actually complete.
- Fixed your city name occasionally staying blank after a failed lookup.
- Fixed precipitation and minimum temperature settings sometimes resetting after relaunching the app.
- General performance and battery improvements from reducing unnecessary widget updates. 1.5.2 Sep 13 City change alert — Get notified when you arrive in a new city so you can check if it's safe to ride there. Enable it once in Settings and DryRide handles the rest.
Destination weather — Tap the search icon to check ride conditions for any city or address. A second card appears alongside your current location so you can compare both at a glance.
Widget weather — The widget now shows current temperature and weather conditions, not just the ride status.
Disable night-time hours — New setting that limits ride window suggestions to daytime hours (8 AM–8 PM) only.
